Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Melt bittersweet chocolate and unsalted butter until smooth. Stir in granulated sugar.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then mix in vanilla extract.
- Sift together flour, cocoa powder, and salt; fold into the mixture.
- Pour brownie batter into a greased springform pan and bake for about 25 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool completely before preparing the cheesecake filling.
- Melt semi-sweet chocolate chips for filling; beat softened cream cheese with sugar until creamy.
- Add melted chocolate, vanilla extract, cocoa powder, salt, sour cream, and mix well; incorporate eggs one at a time.
- Pour cheesecake filling over cooled brownie crust and bake at 325°F (160°C) for about 60 minutes until set but slightly jiggly in the center.
- Cool gradually in the oven, then refrigerate for at least four hours.
- For ganache, heat heavy cream until simmering; pour over remaining chocolate chips and stir until smooth.
- Pour ganache over cooled cheesecake layer and top with colorful candy pieces before chilling again.
